A Blessing by Sharon Kewley

I met JB in 2006 when I was serving on the Board of Directors. JB was a real blessing for our community. His commitment to keeping our property neat and tidy was evident from the start. He would lend a hand to the neighbors, help out with a repair, paint a stain, and always had to give each and every dog a greeting.

Every December I gave him a Lake calendar for the following year and which pleased him very much. The glow from his smile was there for all the world to see and warmed everyone who saw it.

You couldn't help but carry away a good feeling after having a conversation with JB.

JB and I would share the latest sighting of a strange or unusual critter be it bird or lizard. As a Florida native he would instantly be able to tell me what the creature was. Nature was his passion and I always learned a great deal from him. He was also a buddy to my 94 yr old Dad who from 2012 to 2015 rode around the property on his electric scooter.  He was so special.

As you go through life you are privileged to meet certain special people, I'm so glad to say that I met JB and called him friend. God speed my friend, catch up with you someday.
