Daddy, I will never forget the day I found you, as a child I did not look like my cousins, I just figured maybe I was adopted, it was not until I was 16 that I found out about you and well into my early 20's when curiosity got the best of me to start a investigation into finding you..the very first letter you wrote to me was something I will always cherish, you really did know all about me. I never doubted that you would love me and my family, from that time on first seeing you, meeting my sister, my brother and all of my family from your side, I knew I was finally at home and at peace in my heart.

So many amazing memories I have, our talks, the advice you always gave but honestly just knowing that you supported every decision I made in my life and that your love was unconditional. You always told me how proud you were of my children and myself, to never settle for less than I deserve and to always do the best I can and them some.

I loved to listen to your many memories of growing up and the hardships you had faced, the adversity you were dealt, because through every story you taught me regardless of what life threw at you, you still made the decision to live life to its fullest will always stand out, little did I know you were creating your legacy and leaving behind great wisdom.

I want to say Thank you for your love, your humor, your guidance, it seems fitting that today is Fathers Day and this is the first of many more I will have to get through, but I will be able to do that because of the lesson you taught me and that was to always be strong, I know you will forever live on in my heart and through my children and our family.
